The global status of fluoride pollution is conceptually presented in Fluoride in Drinking Water. Most of the recent scientific studies undertaken worldwide are carefully summarised and tabulated to generate a global database on the status of fluoride pollution.

Further, the health issues and associated human stress effects are scientifically discussed. The conventional approaches used for defluoridation in fluoride endemic areas are discussed in detail, highlighting their limitations. A comparative evaluation of the technologies used for defluoridation has been presented as well.
